What to do if you encounter an error while logging in.

There is a known bug in the platform Rolo is built on that will very occasionally throw this an error when you try to log in. It looks like this:

Fortunately, it's easy to fix. There are two things to try, in this order:

Thing 1: Clear your Browser Cache

Clearing browser cache in Chrome

  1. Open Chrome and click on the three dots icon in the top right corner of the screen.

  2. Select "More tools" from the dropdown menu.

  3. Click on "Clear browsing data".

  4. In the "Time range" drop-down menu, select the time range for which you want to clear cached data. To clear all data, select "All time."

  5. Check the box next to "Cached images and files."

  6. Optionally, you can also check other boxes for the data you want to clear.

  7. Click on the "Clear data" button to clear the cached data.

  8. After the process is complete, you will see a confirmation message.

Clearing browser cache in Safari

  1. Open Safari and click on the "Safari" menu at the top-left corner of the screen.

  2. Select "Preferences" from the dropdown menu.

  3. Click on the "Privacy" tab.

  4. Click on the "Manage Website Data" button.

  5. Select "Remove All" to clear all cached data or select specific websites and click "Remove" to clear the cached data for those websites.

  6. Click "Done" to save the changes.

Clearing browser cache in Firefox

  1. Open Firefox and click on the "Menu" button (three horizontal lines) at the top-right corner of the screen.

  2. Select "Options" from the dropdown menu.

  3. Click on the "Privacy & Security" tab.

  4. Scroll down to the "Cookies and Site Data" section.

  5. Click on the "Clear Data" button.

  6. Check the box next to "Cached Web Content."

  7. Click "Clear" to clear the cached data.

  8. Click "OK" to save the changes.

Clearing browser cache in Microsoft Edge

  1. Open Microsoft Edge and click on the "Menu" button (three horizontal dots) at the top-right corner of the screen.

  2. Select "Settings" from the dropdown menu.

  3. Click on the "Privacy, search, and services" tab.

  4. Click on the "Choose what to clear" button under the "Clear browsing data" section.

  5. Check the box next to "Cached data and files."

  6. Optionally, you can also check other boxes for the data you want to clear.

  7. Click on the "Clear Now" button to clear the cached data.

  8. Click "Done" to save the changes.

Thing 2: Reset the Rolo App

Chrome

  • Open the Developer Tools using cmd + option + i for Mac, or ctrl + shift + i for Windows.

  • Keep the Developer Tools console open, and right click the refresh button on the top.

  • Select Empty Cache and Hard Reload.

  • Navigate to Application, and expand the Cookies on the left hand side.

  • Right click on the Notion link and press Clear.

Safari

  • Open the Safari menu in your system menu bar, and select Preferences.

  • In the Privacy section, select Manage Website Data.

  • Search for "Notion," select it, and then click Remove All.

Firefox

  • To the left of the URL, click the πŸ”’ icon.

  • Click Clear Cookies and Site Data.

  • Click Remove.

Microsoft Edge

  • Open the Developer Tools using cmd + option + i for Mac, or ctrl + shift + i for Windows.

  • Keep the Developer Tools console open, and right click the refresh button on the top.

  • Select Empty Cache and Hard Reload.

  • Navigate to Application, and expand the Cookies on the left hand side.

  • Right click on the Notion link and press Clear.
